Description
We would like to introduce Ashton & Totty Ltd, of Chester in Cheshire - a new company in green waste shredding and wood recycling which aims to ‘Shred Green Waste with Haste’.

Not only do we shred green waste and wood with haste as our 600 bhp Jenz shredder is capable of shredding up to 100 tonnes per hour, in addition it is one of the quietest green waste and wood shredding machines in this area of recycling.

We are Ben Ashton and Gareth Totty and between us we have 17 years of experience in the green waste shredding and wood recycling business; and we both hold full plant operator and HGV licences. We offer shredding and recycling of green waste and wood on site with our shredder and excavator or, if you prefer, using your own loader.  We can visit on a regular contract basis or relief shred in the event of machine breakdown or staff shortage.  Whether it’s working for major waste companies, smaller recycling operations or even on-farm composting, we are happy to operate our own machines alongside yours to facilitate efficient green waste shredding and wood recycling. This allows us to provide you with a versatile service which suits many recycling and shredding applications.

GREEN WASTE  /  WOOD SHREDDING & RECYCLING
We offer shredding of green waste and wood on site with our shredder and excavator, or your own loader if you prefer.  Our Jenz AZ65 600 hp high speed shredder can shred up to 100 tonnes per hour of green waste, and shreds wood waste at 70 tonnes per hour. It has an intelligent bite control feed system and self propulsion and this allows us to shred efficiently with very little down time and constant manoeuvrability.  Our Jenz shredder has a 42 tool rotor carrying a combination of swinging blades and hammers. It can handle wood and brash material to kerbside collections of grass cuttings and leaves at high outputs.

SCREENING - GREEN WASTE AND WOOD
We operate a Trommel Screener using various size drums depending on your green waste and wood shredding and recycling requirements. This can be operated with our loading shovel or your own plant if you prefer.

STAFFING AND MAINTENANCE
We have a workshop and service van equipped with all the tools necessary to maintain heavy machinery. We are both experienced mechanics and can undertake jobs from servicing and maintenance to breakdowns and fabrications.  As we are both qualified plant operators we would be happy to operate your own machinery for green waste and wood shredding and recycling in the event of any staff shortages or unexpected work loads you may experience in your own recycling business.
