Campaign to save wind turbine factory

There is now a campaign among local people on the Isle of Wight to save the only factory in the UK that makes wind turbines.  The Vestas corporation is planning to close the factory with the loss of 600 jobs.

The campaigners have asked for emails from individuals and organisations expressing support. The address is savevestas@gmail.com.  Wind power is crucial for the future of our planet, and it may well be that if this factory closes we will see the UK having to import wind turbines down the line, rather than employing British made products.
