A Little Bit Of Lincolnshire Life
Welcome to a little bit of Lincolnshire life, as I’m sure some of you will know, Just-Recycling is based in the heart of rural Lincolnshire.
Very pleased to say it’s not the epicentre of “modern” English living; we don’t have poor unfortunates pulling down statues or marches for hard done to minorities.
But we do have the ability to grow very good wheat, barley and oilseed rape so August tends to be a hive of activity in the fields.
All I can say is bring on September’s potato harvesting so all “Yellowbellies” can be truly “living the dream”.
Another crop seen local to us is the morphine poppy: in flower it’s a sea of colour and prior to harvesting it looks like a holocaust movie backdrop.
Most of this year’s crop will go to the bakers to glue on the top of your seeded rolls and buns; a small amount will go for morphine.
The demand for morphine this year is the same as last year, way down simply because that industry still doesn’t want to return to the tedium of “normal” work.
